Happy Easter y'all!
This week was a good one. We have found more potential investigators and are working on following up with them and figuring out which ones are elect. We also were able to reconnect with a recent convert who went a little off the deep end. It is absolutely incredible that he has finally started talking to us! We have been persistent and the spirit (or lack of) has been working on him. He knows that he needs to get his life back in order and come back to church. It is unfortunate though, because it is going to be so hard because of the kind of people that he hangs around. We'll see what happens. Heavenly Father knows what he needs.
Also this week we visited a potential. She met missionaries when she was living in Jamacia and still has the Book of Mormon that they gave her. She has been reading it and loves it. This week we were able to meet two of her sons and both of them also want to start reading the Book of Mormon!
We helped a member move stuff into her apartment. It was so much fun. I sure do wish that we were asked to do more service. We actually have some planned this week for a lady that we tracted into last week. She did not want to talk to us so we told her to call us if she ever needed anything. She asked if we were serious and then she asked if we had any credentials. Hah! Not really. We didn't think we would ever hear from her but she called us and told us that she had been praying for some help. Wow. God works in mysterious ways, just in case you didn't know.
Easter was wonderful! We had a great service at church and we enjoyed sharing the "Because of Him" video with people that we talked to. Then we had dinner at a member's house. It was fantastic. Nice and southern complete with candied yams, squash casserole. ham, rice, green bean casserole, pork, and rolls. It was so delicious! And I ate way too much. It was so fun to be with that family and the other sisters and one of their investigators. I'm so grateful for Easter and the opportunity to celebrate the resurrection of my Savior. I know that everything is possible #BecauseofHim.
